Chinese equipment supplier ZTE Corporation has secured a contract from Southeast Asia Telecommunications Holdings for the deployment of a 4G LTE network in Cambodia. According to a report by ChinaTechNews.com, the Cambodian government has awarded Southeast Asia Telecom (Cambodia) an operating licence allowing it to provide a range of telecoms services, such as mobile communications (including LTE), internet access, fixed-wireless telephony and voice-over-internet protocol (VoIP). The company is rolling out a nationwide FDD-LTE mobile network, which is expected to be operational in the first half of 2015.
